Photos from Yaffo/ TLV
The end of my time with my dad, we spent some time in Yaffo and TLV. The weather was incredible. We walked about 3 miles on the beach just wearing t-shirts! No sweaters! It was so meaningful and fun to have my Dad here. It made Israel seem so much more like home :)

Syrian Village and more Golan Heights
These pictures are from the Golan. Most of this used to belong to Syria. The bunker on the left is a part of a military base of Syria that Israel took in 67. Many lives were lost that day, and the hand to hand combat was in these dark barracks. It was really interesting and intense.

The following pictures are from Mt. Bental-- and other sites in the north. We saw the tanks spotting the hillsides, over looking Syria.
The border of Syria and Israel.
This is a picture from Mt. Bental-- there's a coffee shop there called Coffee Anan (Coffee in the clouds-- also a pun on Kofi Anan-- because it overlooks the border of Syria and Israel and the UN compound there.)
These are all pictures from a Syria village in the Golan-- abandoned now. It was eerily quiet and stunning.

North: Arbel, Tzippori, Akko
My dad was here for about two weeks. We traveled together throughout the entire North of the country, and then we went to Tel Aviv and Yaffo for a few days.
These pictures are from our time in Moshav Arbel, the small community on
Mt. Arbel in the north, above Tiberias. We stayed at the CUTEST guest
house (Shavit's guest house) and ate the best breakfasts and dinners of
the trip:
We took a trip to Tzippori-- where we saw this incredible tile work from the Romans!! It's all still there-- it was just beautiful. There is still a Roman theater there and is said to be the birthplace of Mary.
